- ↑ Source:Whitcomb, Esther Kimmens. About Bolton, p. 122, "John, who came to Bolton sometime before 1762, the year he and Miriam Wheeler were married". However, no such record is found and Source:Wheeler, Albert Gallatin. Genealogical and Encyclopedic History of the Wheeler Family in America, p. 368, doesn't recognize Miriam as a Wheeler, and on p. 357 shows mo marriage for her. But the will of Obadiah Wheeler of Bolton, dated 30 Jun 1794, bequeaths to "the Heires of my second daughter Miriam Fry deceased" [Worcester probate 63508].
