--GaleB 08:25, 8 June 2008 (EDT)The name Allred comes from oral family tradition. However, there was a Charity Allred listed in the Suwanee Baptist church records and she was the only Charity listed in the early years.

The 1840 Gwinnett Co., GA census shows David and Sarah Driskell lived very near John Allred. John, the only Allred in Gwinnett during this time period, is probably Charity Allred's father. John T. Driskell's sister, Sarah, married Mastin Allred and he is probably a son of John Allred too.

We know Charity died sometime between 1860-1866. She appears on the 1860 census, and John married again in 1866.
