"At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Schermerhorn, Jackson Street at 6 o'clock PM yesterday, was celebrated the marriage of Mr. John D. Dence and Miss Mary E. Phalon. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Ersebries, of Croghan. The wedding was a quiet affair and the young couple left on the evening train north. They have the best wishes of their friends."
