John A P Daugherty was the son of Samuel Daugherty and Chloe Latimer. He married Rutha Ann Catlin, daughter of John T Catlin and Christina Landis or Landess, about 1835, probably in Marion County, Kentucky, or possibly in Washington County, from which Marion County was created in 1834.
