Family:John Brundage and Hannah Hunt (1)

The date 2 Oct 1697 is the date of a document giving an account of his estate. He certainly died some time before 2 Oct, likely in September 1697. He left widow Hannah, sons John, Joseph, Daniel, and Joshua; daughters Ruth Scofield, Mary Brondag, and Hannah Brondag: these are of course children living in 1697. John signed his name in 1662 as Brondish and the name also appears as Brondig in period records. The name was often written phonetically as is common for the time, and soon settled down to be Brundage. There is some discussion of him and his family in "Settlers of Beekman Patent" Vol 1, Abbot-Burtch.
