↑ It appears there are two sons named Charles in this family (1837-1877 and 1840-1859), with overlapping lifetimes based on the two death records found. Ironically, neither of the Charles seems to be found in the census records. Nor has a birth record for either been located. So, this remains a confusing situation needing further research.
