    JOHN, Hingham, a shoemaker from old Hingham, Co. Norf. came with w. five s. three ds. and two serv. in the Diligent, 1638, from London, adm. freem. 13 Mar. 1639, had Jacob, bapt. 2 Oct. 1642, and no other ch. perhaps here, exc. Rebecca, wh. d. unm. after Oct. 1657. He was rep. 1649, and his w. Nazareth d. 23 Sept. 1658; but he took sec. w. 10 Mar. 1659, Mary, wid. of Nicholas Jacob, d. 1688 (as Sewall in his Diary, sub. 1 Apr. ment.), in his 100th yr. tho. perhaps the report may not have been exact. Of his ds. Martha m. 16 May 1640, it is said, William Falloway, of Plymouth, and next 29 June 1649, Samuel Dunham; Mary m. 30 Dec. 1647, James Whiton; and Sarah m. 22 Mar. 1649, Thomas Marsh, and next 1 Sept. 1662, Edmund Shefield of Braintree. His will of 27 Sept. 1687, pro. 18 June foll. names the six s. and ds. Sarah, Mary, and Martha.
