- ↑ "Joane" is named as wife of John in her death record. Marriage estimate of about 1639 is based on birth of son John, who married in 1660, so presumed born about 1639 to be of legal age. However, the birth date is not actually known. For example, Source:Bartlett, Levi. Genealogical and Biographical Sketches of the Bartlett Family in England and America, p. 13, says the son John was born in England, but says the father John came to Newbury from England in 1634, which would imply a birth, and hence a marriage, bef. 1634.
