Jesse Henderson went West to establish a home for his family. He left his wife and children back East with a foreman to run the farm. When he returned for the family he found Nancy "with child." The father seems to have been the foreman. So Jesse divorced Nancy, took the children to Oregon and remarried there. The last child was left with Nancy but he came West later to find his lost family. In thise days he would have been a Henderson on the records even though he was not fathered by Jesse. [1]
