Hempenstall is her surname from previous marriage. Abraham Hempenstall was from København, Kobenhavn (Copenhagan), Denmark. He died in 1814 in Greenbrier, West VA, USA. [This comment may be for a completely different Elizabeth Hepler.]

Her maiden name was mispelled on some documents.. The name was typoed in the Marriage data. There were no "Helpers" in Virginia but there were Heplers! The Heplers were from Vaihingen- an-der-Enz, Lomersheim, Wuerttemberg, Germany. Her mother died at sea during their immigration. [Is this also concerning a different Elizabeth Hepler?]
