FHL film#521917 Part I Dower Rights. p.61-66 is case of Mary Mitchell who was married to James Mitchell for about 40yrs. He died Dec 16 1830. Dated 1838-1841, the case as best I can tell, is Mary's efforts to reclaim one third of a piece of property that somebody else says is his. She is claiming her one third as her dower rights. I think she gets it. Her agent is Andrew Mitchell....who I think is her son.
