The Marriage of James Dugger and Matilda Nelson is recorded in Arkansas County Marriages, 1837-1957, page 271:

"I, [illegible], acting and duly commissioned justice of the peace in and for the county of Boone in the state of Arkansas do hereby certify that on the 17th day of March 1870, at the county of Boone in the state of Arkansas I did duly join in marriage James A Dugger of Searey County state of Arkansas aged 22 years and Matilda Nelson of the county of Boone State of Arkansas aged 25 years and then I declared them to be husband and wife, given under my hand this 17th day of March 1870. Filed for record, March 21st 1870. Signed [Gael L King]?"

They then appear in the 1870, 1880, 1900, and 1910 Census in Searcy county Arkansas.
