The State of Ohio, Trumbull County, ss.
Personally appeared James W. Delong and made application for a Marriage License for himself and Ellen McCleary of the township of Newton in said county, and made solemn oath that he the said James is of the age of twenty-one years, and that the said [blank] is of the age of eighteen years; and that they are both single and not nearer of kin than first cousins; that he knows of no legal impediment against their being joined in marriage.
[following handwritten] and producing the written consent of Alexr [?] McCleary the Father of said Ellen and makes oath to his signature.
