Jack and Rosey had four children, three sons and one daughter.

Jacks's obituary reads, "Jacques O. Shipman, 67, of Fort Wayne died Wednesday in Life Care Center. The Fort Wayne native was a veteran of the Army, retired in 1981 from the Fort Wayne Fire Department after 23 years and was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Rosemary; a daughter, Suzanne Shipman; a son, Kerry O.; and a sister, Barbara Nix, all of Fort Wayne; and five grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. Friday in the church, with burial in Catholic Cemetery. Calling is 5 to 9 p.m. today in D. O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Memorials are to the church, University Park Alzheimer's Unit, Life Care Center or Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice Foundation." Rosey's obituary reads, "ROSEMARY "ROSEY" SHIPMAN, 66, died Thursday in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a data processor with American Red Cross for 17 years, retiring in 1994. Surviving are a son, Kerry O. of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Suzanne M. Shipman of Fort Wayne; a brother, John Ort of Waynedale; two sisters, Kathyleen LeFevra of Ponta Gorda, Fla., Shirley Miller of Wolcottville; and four grandchildren. Her husband, Jack, died in 1997 and two infant sons preceded her in death. Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church, E. State Blvd. at Randallia Drive, with calling a half-hour before services. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at D. O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to St. Jude Catholic Church or to St. Andrews Soup Kitchen."
