  3.   Although Newington moved from usage as a farming, hunting & cattle raising reserve about 1690 to 1700, to a settled area for families, the town of Wethersfield remained the governing body for Newington until 1871, hence many Vital Records for Newington will be found in Wethersfield. Someone might want to check which church was led by Rev. Lockwood.
