Although Edward Mobley Meadows does not appear in the 1810 or 1820 Census records in Isaiah and Biddy's household, he most likely is their son. He named one of his own sons Isaiah, his mother was living with him in 1860, and by 1810 he would have been old enough to have been working for and living with another family.

Isaiah and Biddy did have three daughters, based on the 1810 and 1820 Census, who have yet to be identified.

Doswell Meadows has sometimes been listed, without documentation, as a son of Isaiah and Biddy. However, he seems more likely to be a son of Edward Mobley (and thus a grandson of Isaiah and Biddy). He would be their oldest son, listed in the 1840 census, and named for his uncle Doswell Stephens, who went to Mississippi with Edward and Sarah (Stephens) Meadows.
