From the Thomasville, GA, Weekly Times-Enterprise, Friday, March 8, 1912 SURPRISE WEDDING Miss Marie Stuart and Frank Tullis Married Last Night at the Baptist Pastorium Miss Marie Stuart and Mr. I. Frank Tullis were married last night at nine o'clock at the Baptist pastorium. The wedding was a complete surprise to their friends. Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Breazeale of Jacksonville, friends of the groom, being the only witnesses. The ceremony was performed by Rev. L. T. Mays at nine o'clock, the young couple leaving immediately for the Stuart House where they will be for a short time. Neither the parents of the bride or the family of the groom knew of the event, it being kept a secret by the two until after the ceremony. Miss Stuart is a very charming young girl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Stuart, while Mr. Tullis is a splendid young man who has lived here all of his life. He now holds the position as clerk at the Stuart Hotel. Both young people are very popular in Thomasville and they have good wishes of a host of friends. |
