ISAAC SHAEFFER came to Carroll county Indiana in 1852 along with his wife and some of their children, one being EPHRIAM SHAEFFER who was born November 5 1838 and would have been 14 years of age. There were seven children in the family of Isaac and his wife ROSANNAH HOFFMAN SHAEFFER with two still alive in 1896. One was my greatgrandfather Ephriam and the other Mrs BARBARA FEATHERHOFF the wife of SAMUEL FEATHERHOFF living in Carroll County Indiana. Isaac died in 1880 plus or minus a couple of years. Ephriam was married March 15 1865 to RACHEL MCMAHAN dau of JOSEPH and RACHEL [BIRD] MCMAHAN. Any connection to these individuals would help me with my research. I have some information that Rosannah died September the 23rd 1866 and was buried in Delphi, Indiana.

My Ggrandfather's sister, Selda, married Jacob Gilbert Aker in 1859 in IN. His parents were John Aker and Mary A. Vanway. Jacob and Selda's children were Albert, Nelson, B. Laura, S. Oliver, V. Prudence,Emma, D. Cora, E. Eleanor, Frank, D. Edwin, M. Willie, and Carrie Maude. Selda's father was Isaac Shaffer(Shaeffer, Shaefer) and Rosannah Hoffman(Huffman). The family moved from Ohio to IN in 1852. The only brothers of Isaac's that I have any confendence in naming them are George, Abraham, Joel, and Jacob. These were mentioned in a letter written by a grandson of Isaacs
