2 Jan 1924, p? - Wedded Fifty Years. On a very cold Christmas 50 years ago December 25, 1873, Isaac N. Falls and Miss Sarah Crull, daughter of Michael Crull, a substantial farmer of the eastern portion of Jackson township, were happily married at the home of her sister in this city by rev. Tague, pastor of the M.E. church. Soon after they took the train for Franklin, Johnson county, for a brief visit, and returning to Indianapolis found themselves subject to a strike of several weeks duration and they were compelled to take refuge with friends at Danville, which was Mr. Falls' former home. They began life in the Marlatt neighborhood in Washington township, and after living here and elsewhere they located in this city, where they successfully maintained a pleasant home for the past 30 years. On this occasion they entertained many of their friends who called during the day and paid their respects. A noon repast of rare excellence was spread for their children, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Beeson, Mrs. Alta Rummel and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kennedy, and Curtis Falls which was as fully enjoyed as any one feature of the occasion. Their home was nicely decorated and made more than usually pleasant by a wealth of lowers and potted plants and such other accessories as are suitable to an event of this character and the happiness of a family where each strives to make life one vast dream. A reality in fact that measures its length by the success they make of life and the extent to which they enjoy it. Miss Jennie McGrew was an honor guest of the family, since she has been an employe [sic] at the store for fourteen years.
