Grandmother Ruth is his second wife. His first wife was Lola Ethel Carlton, 20 Oct 1900 - 6 Mar 1928. They were married 21 May 1922. Lola had two children Doyle Carlton Abernethy (b in 1923) and Fred Edward Abernethy (b in 1925 in Hollis, Harmon, Oklahoma). Fred is my father. From: "EUGENE W ABERNETHY"
