  1. ↑ Henry Skidmore (the second son) married (by 1750) Elizabeth (who survived him), daughter of Abraham Potter of Sussex Co., He removed by 1757 to what is now Yadkin (then Rowan, later Surry) Co., North Carolina, where he settled on 340 acres on both sides of Deep Creek (subsequently dividedamong three of his sons). His will is dated Nov. 7, 1774, when he was "very sick," (pr. Feb 1775) in Surry County. The vendue sale of his estate tataled L 234 15sh 8d. Left issue, four sons and three daughters.,

    1. John born abt. 1750, the eldest son, of whom further.

    2. Thomas, (Sergt.). 2nd son , to whom we will return.

    3 * Henry, (Capt.), 3rd son, to whom we will return.

    4. Abraham, the youngest son, to whom we will return.
