Henry Covington, son of John Covington, Sr. and Mary Airey, m. in 1760, Elizabeth Smith Sands, a dau. of Thomas Sands, of Queen Annes Co., Md., who m.1 Elizabeth Smith, in 1726, Ipswich, Mass (Ipswich Marriage Records), and m.2 later Mrs. Elizabeth Covington, widow of Benjamin Covington, who d. 1766. Thomas Sands' will names Elizabeth and other children. (Queen Annes' Co. Wills, liber 40, folio 472-3, 1775).
