NEVER MARRIED

Assertion that Henry Bentham is the father of Nancy's daughter Sarah Ann Pilkington. The three are lodging with Henry's brother Thomas and his wife in the 1861 census. In the following 1871 census, Sarah Ann has been adopted by Thomas and his wife.

Oddly, down the track Thomas marries Nancy when they are both widowed, a couple of years before his death in 1885.

Sarah Ann passes at age 27 in 1888, unmarried.
