Mrs. Zelia E. Briggs, 90, 41 Pleasant St., Auburn, died early yesterday morning at the Auburn Home for the Aged Women after a long illness. Born at Littleton, May 29, 1871, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Daugherty, and was educated in Littleton schools. She taught schools in the Mars Hills area. Many years ago, she married Harry S. Briggs at Littleton. He died at Norridgewock in November 1911.
