In a lovely ceremony at Trinity Episcopal chapel, Portland, Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Miss Virginia Clare Brunell, daughter of Mrs. Madeleine Brunell. of Portland, became the bride of George B. Irish, son of Mrs. H R. Irish of Silverton. The Rev. L. Franklin Evenson read the lines of the double ring service before an all-white flow er banked altar lighted with glowing tapers in cathedral candelabra. James L. Strachan played the wedding music. The bride, given In marriage by her uncle, Frederick G. White, wore the marriage gown of the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Norval E. Eastin, which was fashioned of white faille with net yoke and net overskirt with full train, and her mother's wedding veil of princess lace held in place by a slephanotis head-dress. She carried a rainbow Bible topped with a white orchid from which fell cascades of white ribbon and stcphanotis. Her only ornament was strand of pearls, gift of the bridegroom. The bride chose her cousin. Miss Nancy V. White, as her maid of honor. She wore a turquoise crepe gown and head-dress of matching blue net and yellow roses, and carried a bouquet of yellow roses. The best man was the bridegroom's brother, Harold B. Irish of Centralia. Ushers were Norval E. Eastin, Silverton, and Vernon L. Barkhurst of Eugene. At the reception held In the Morrison rooms of Ihe church, Mrs. Eugene Truby, aunt of the bride, presided at the urns, and another aunt. Mrs. Frederick G. White cut and served the cake. Assisting in serving with the gifts and the guest book were Mrs. Norval E. Eastin of Silverton, Miss Jean E. Bradcn, Newberg, Miss Athena Pelav. Miss Gerd Johnson, Miss Kay Reese. Miss Phyllis Rudd and Miss Ruth Blake of Portland.
