Forest and Jennie were married in Allen County, Indiana by Pastor McKim. It was the first marriage for both of them. They had two sons. Forest's obituary reads, "FOREST R. SOMERS - Forest R. Somers, 58, of 2520 Boswell Drive, died at 11:05 a.m. Friday at Parkview Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was employed as a cost specialist at the General Electric Co. where he worked for 38 years. He was a member of Home Lodge 342, F. & AM., the Scottish Rite and the GE Quarter Century Club. Surviving are the wife, Jennie M.; two sons...; three grandchildren; two brothers, Marlet, South Bend, Emmett, Flagstaff, Ariz.; and the mother, Mrs. Edna Somers, Fort Wayne. The body was taken to the Klaehn Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, Rev. J.W. Fox officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Home Lodge 342 will hold services at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Sunday." Jennie moved to Syracuse 30 years ago from Fort Wayne. She is survived by her son... Funeral Service is 10:30 a.m. today at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse. A graveside service follows in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel in Fort Wayne."
