Forest retired from the Nickel Plate Railroad after 40 years of service.

Mabel was 72 years old when she died.

Mabel's obituary reads, "MRS. MABEL DUNLAP. Services for Mrs. Mabel Dunlap, 72, of 668 Archer Ave., who died yesterday in Lutheran Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, Rev. John M. Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery. A native of Logansport, Mrs. Dunlap lived here 71 years. She belonged to Trinity Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Forest W.; a son, Paul F., R. R. 1, Grabill; a daughter... and four grandchildren. At the time of his death, he lived at 668 Archer Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was 82 years old.

Forest's obituary reads, "Services for Forest W. Dunlap, 82, of 668 Archer Ave. will be at 1 p.m. Monday at C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home. He died at 9:10 a.m. yesterday in the Fort Wayne Nursing Home. A native of Grover Hill, Ohio, he lived in Fort Wayne most of his life and retired 17 years ago from the Nickel Plate Railroad after 40 years of service. Surviving are a daughter,,, and a son, Paul F., of Grabill. Calling will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery."
