Eugene's obituary reads, "Funeral services for Eugene C. Gladieux, 69, who died at 8:30 a.m. yesterday at the Veterans Administration Hospital where he had been since May 1, will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Mungovan & Sons Mortuary, and at 9 in St. Jude's Catholic Church, the Rev. Dennis Dennigan officiating. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. A World War I veteran, Mr. Gladieux was a lifelone resident of Fort Wayne. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Harold Swinhart, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Ninette Myers, Fort Wayne. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today." He is buried at Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
