According to Stiles, the 1732 event was a birth; the original VR presumably indicated that Ephraim, the son of Ephraim Willard, was born to (not married) Lydia Griswold, the daughter of Jacob Griswold, Sr. Ephraim the son died in 1736 (this is supported by his gravestone, which indicates that he was 4 years old), and his parents were finally marred in 1738.
