1850 census: Annotated, compiled by John P. Alderman His name was Elisha, not Elijah. I think he was one of the younger sons of Thomas and Mary. Margaret was a Melton and I think her parents were William and Sarah (Bedsaul) Melton. Elisha and Margaret were married in 1850 and left here before the war.
