Since a marraige bond is usually signed by the groom and a close relative of the bride [most commonly her father], it is quite likely that Davis is not the bride's maiden name and she is the Widow Salley Davis, a daughter of Thomas Owens, a close neighbor of Jesse Moore.

  2. Bride, Salley Davis may be a widowed daughter of Thomas Owens, close neighbor of Jesse Moore.
