  2. Tabitha POWDERS was apparently not married in April 1778 when she provided nursing services to her wounded brother William POWDERS, Jr. who subsequently died of his wounds. A claim for reimbursement for her services, and those of her sisters, was successfully prosecuted by Willliam POWDERS before the Delaware State Govt. Claim filed in April 1778.
    The place of marriage was probably Blackwater Presbyterian Meeting House in Baltimore Hundred, Sussex, DE since there is a donation record for both William POWDERS and his son Revel to that church in both 1778 and 1780.
