"Edward¹ Lacy with wife Sarah appeared in Fairfield, Conn., prior to 20 Jan. 1694/5, when their six children were baptized together at Christ Church, Fairfield. Their earlier history has not been ascertained, and it is not known whether they were late immigrants from England or whether they had been living in one of the other American colonies. They lived in Stratfield Parish, then a part of Stratford and Fairfield, now Bridgeport. No probate of Edward's estate has been found."
