- ↑ No record is found in Concord Births. The Whitney Research Group says the marriage occurred 1 Jun 1786, but gives no source (but it appears to come from Source:Whitney, Henry Austin. Brief Account of the Descendants of John and Elinor Whitney, of Watertown, p. 23, no source cited there). The Find A Grave memorial for Betsey says they married Jun 1786 in Concord, but clearly this exceeds the information that can be based on the gravestone. Source:Van Nattan, Laurence J. History of the Town of Rindge, New Hampshire from the Date of the Rowley Canada or Massachusetts Charter to the Present Time,, p. 757, say David lived in Rindge from "about 1785 to 1800", and his first child was b. 7 Dec 1788 (here), suggesting the marriage could have been as late as Mar 1788. They were certainly married by 1790 when Betsey's father's will was written.
