  1. In the 1830 census, David's family includes a white female 50-60 (Elizabeth would be 54), a white male 50-60 (David would e 58), a white male 30-40 (Moises would have been 29 or possibly 30); and a white male 15-20 (Thomas would be19 or 20). Also in the family were two white females between 15 and 20 years of age. Catharine, the youngest girl in the family was born between 1810 and 1815. However, the second girl of this age is not known. The family owned 9 slaves at the time.
Marriage information found at the Family History Center, Film #0,446, 056. David lists the following in his will: Wife Elizabeth Spencer, Children: Phebe Stanley, Nancy Hightower, Thomas Spencer, Poline R. Woodwan, Elizabeth Bowman, Joshua Spencer, Catherine Horton. The executors are David Dawson, Thomas Spencer (if this is his son, then he's only 14, so it could be a brother) and Elizabeth Spencer (probably his wife).
