The 14 day of December 1696 the same day David Carver of waymoth was marryed to Ruth Whitmarsh, by mr John Norton pastor of the Church in Hingham.
↑ NEHGR, p. 88:220 (or alternatively Source:Carver, Clifford N. Carver Family of New England, p. 57, one being a derivative of the other), cites Source:History of the Town of Hingham, Massachusetts p. 3:288, in saying the marriage is at Weymouth 16 Dec 1696. However, that work gives the date as 14 Dec 1696 and does not explicitly specify the location of the marriage. However, as it is listed as an unplaced event, not as part of a genealogy, it presumably a record found in the town books that the authors couldn't associate with any Hingham family. The marriage is not listed in Weymouth VRs.
