  • Amanda Sutton is found living with the family in the 1870 census, but she is not listed as a child of Daniel Sutton and SC Hobson anywhere else. At the time, she is 15, so perhaps she came to help with the children. She is likely related, but who are her parents?

    ... In Blackford county Daniel Sutton wedded Miss Sarah C. Hobson, who was born in a little two-room frame house that stood opposite the court house on Main street, Hartford City, the date of her nativity having been July 4, 1840.
