  1.   In covering this family, both Source:Weis, Frederick Lewis. Early Generations of the Family of Robert Harrington of Watertown, Massachusetts, 1634, and Some of His Descendants and Source:Harrington, Eugene W. Harrington Family in America seemed to have simply copied what they found in Source:Bond, Henry. Family Memorials. Genealogies of the Families and Descendants of the Early Settlers of Watertown, Massachusetts, Including Waltham and Weston (1855), and so both reproduced his errors.

Bond adds two extra children that do not appear to have existed. First he appears to have mistook a death record for the first Daniel in 1744 as a birth record, so shows three sons named Daniel, instead of two. Spacing of sibling births appears to confirm the printed death record, a birth in 1744 being unlikely if not impossible.

Second, a son Phineas is shown, b. 2 Aug 1756. The birth of a Phineas Harrington is found on 2 Aug 1756, but in Watertown and to parents Edward and Hannah, not Daniel and Hannah. Further no son named Phineas is named in Daniel's will or probate.
  2.   3 of the 4 children match those named as children of Person:Hannah Chadwick (3) who is deceased in Hannah's father's will of 1767, even in respect to order. Replacing the granddaughter Eunice with Hannah would be a perfect match, making one wonder if this was an error by a remote grandfather having many grandchildren. Since the identify of Daniel Harrington's wife is not known by any of the three secondary sources mentioned, it is believed this Hannah Chadwick might be a possibility.
