Clifford owned the Press Box Tavern. Clifford and Ardath had four children, three sons and one daughter. He died when he was 59 years old. Clifford's obituary reads, "Funeral services for Clifford Falls, 59, owner of the Press Box Tavern, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the D. O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home, the Rev. Harper S. Will officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Falls, who resided at 401 Cherry St., was dead on arrival at 12:30 a.m. yesterday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been under a doctor's care for some time. Born in Paulding, Ohio, he had lived in Fort Wayne 47 years. Suviving are his wife, Ardath; a daughter...three sons...; and nine grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today." [Journal Gazette, Saturday 27 February 1960, pg. 2] Ardath's obituary reads, "ARDATH B. FALLS, 79, a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne, died at 10:36 a.m. Tuesday in Parkview Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Falls was the widow of Clifford Sr. Surviving are three sons....; and a brother, Robert Smith, of Jamestown, Pa. Services are at 10 a.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling there from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will e inGreenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials are gifts to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation."
