↑ The baptism records of the children simply say that the parents were "Christopher and Hannah Darley", which doesn't distinguish between the two families. Indeed, in principle Christopher could have married two Hannahs in sequence. However, the interdigitation of children between Wheldrake on the one hand, and Roos and Aldbrough on the other, suggest that these were two entirely separate families. I have assigned the children born in Wheldrake to this family, and those born in Roos and Aldbrough to the family married at Sculcoates, because Sculcoates, Aldbrough, and Roos are all relatively close to each other while Wheldrake is farther away.
