Extract from Local News column: "A farewell party was given at the home of Miss Hulda Nordstrom, Portsmouth Ave. Friday evening, April 22d, in honor of the Misses Shanks, who expect to leave early in May. A handsome parlor lamp was presented to Miss Mary, bride to be, who is soon to wed Carl H. Goschie, of Silverton, Oregon. Miss Maggie, who has been in poor health for some time, will spend the summer in Lewiston, Idaho, in the hopes of recovering from her illness. Her mother, Mrs. Sarah Shanks, will accompany her."
