↑ Source:Higgins, Katharine Elizabeth Chapin. Richard Higgins, a Resident and Pioneer Settler at Plymouth and Eastham, Massachusetts and at Piscataway, New, p. 101, says Abigail Higgins was born 27 Nov 1738, d. 5 Nov 1759. The birth in 1738 for a woman who married in 1755 seems too young, especially to marry a man of Beriah's age. The birth date found for 27 Nov 1738 is Abigail Higgins of Harwich, d/o Paul and Rebecca, per Harwich VRs p. 37. Paul's family is shown in Higgins on p. 125, but Abigail is shown marrying James Phinney and a deed is cited proving it. The identification on p. 101 must be some sort of editing error. The source of the death date has not been found either.
