    He married, August 9, 1716, at Ipswich, Esther Perkins, of Wenham, born October 25, 1695, died at Brookfield, January 20, 1780. Among their children were: 1. Benjamin, mentioned below. 2. Daniel, born February 15, 1754, captain in the Revolution; married, 1754, Lucy Barnes; (second) Elizabeth Gott; (third) Mary (Goddard) Kimbal, widow. 4. Colonel Joseph, born 1733, settled at Brookfield; officer in the Revolution.

    Benjamin (2), son of Benjamin (1) Gilbert was born about 1720.
