Family:Austin Dunham and Martha Root (1)

They lived at South Coventry, Connecticut until they moved to Hartford in 1835. They bought the Daniel Wadsworth house at 19 Prospect Street in 1849 and they remained there until their deaths. It was purchased for the expansion of the Atheneum after the deaths of their last children. The family belonged to the Asylum Hill Congregational Church.
