AARON LYON, son of Aaron and Mary (Mason) Lyon, was born in Sturbridge, Worcester County, Massachusetts, on 14 December 1757.[A. B. Lyon, Lyon Memorial, 3 vols. (Detroit, Mich.: Graham Printing Co., 1905–07), 1:270– 71; ] He died in Buckland, Hampshire County [now Franklin County], on 21 December 1802,[3] aged 45 years 7 days, and was buried in the Baptist Corners Cemetery there.[4] He was of Ashfield, Hampshire County, when he married in Ashfield on 2 September 1784, JEMIMA SHEPARD of Ashfield.[5] She was born on 25 January 1765, daughter of Isaac and Jemima (Smith) Shepard.[6] She died on 15 November 1840,[7] aged 76 years, and was buried in the Hill Cemetery in Ashfield.[8]
