The Ole Kentucky Tapestry is intended to provide a place for storing data related to those settled "The Dark and Bloody Ground" of Kentucky from around 1775 to about 1800. While not part of the Tapestry proper, knowledge of these early settlers is often critical in untangling the family relations of those who initially settled in the main Tapestry region. Below you will find links to various surname Tapestries for surnames where data is being collected for Kentuckians whose ancestors were in Ole Kentucky by 1800, and in particular, those whose pre-Kentucky roots are thought to extend into the main Tapestry areas.
