This is the first of a series of files on the baptisms at the Reformed Dutch Church of New Amsterdam created through manual transcription from original documents; the source was last updated on 8 March 2001. Names have been simplified to plain text by removal of accent marks so that they will be compatible with most computer systems. The transcription for 1639 is incomplete, containing six entries; information in the original documents exists for years before 1639. This first installment ends at 1760.
