Two Instanter communities [20 September 2011]

As described, this community was in McKean County, PA and was eventually dismantled, revived 20 years later as Clermontville, then Clermont, PA.

The community in Elk County was initially named New Instanter, which I created a month or so ago. With the dismantling of the original Instanter in McKean County, New Instanter became known as Instanter, until the damming of the Clarion River in the 1920s, to form a reservoir, which submerged both the village of Instanter and the village of Straight. Would an Admin please move Instanter to McKean County, PA as a Deserted Settlement ?--Neal Gardner 15:31, 20 September 2011 (EDT)
