A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Woodhouse Hall from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
Woodhouse Hall was a civil parish in Blyth and Cuckney Rural District from 1894 until 1925 and then in Worksop Rural District from 1925 until 1935. In 1935 it was merged into the civil parish of Holbeck. It is now part of the Bassetlaw District of Nottinghamshire. (Source: A Vision of Britain through Time) According to the 1900 Ordnance Survey Map of Nottinghamshire Holbeck Woodhouse was a hamlet within the parish of Holbeck and Woodhouse Hall was a separate civil parish.
