Pleasant Villa is located on the Otnabog Stream, 9.36 km south of Gagetown in Hampstead Parish in Queens County, New Brunswick. It included the communities of Otnabog and Queenstown

The historian, William Francis Ganong, identified the Maliseet name for Otnabog as Wednee'bak. Otnabog Post Office existed 1854-1893; in 1871 Otnabog had a population of 100. It also included Upper Otnabog which had a post office 1876-1911; in 1898 Upper Otnabog was a farming settlement with 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 100.
